Hoppyscotch

One day, Katie Kangaroo saw a group of kids playing Hopscotch. It looked like so much fun. So, when she got back to her magical forest, Katie gave it a whirl. She drew a hopscotch board, threw a stick, then practiced jumping with one foot and then both feet while picking up the stick. As Katie took to the air, her heart thumped with JOY! Pretty soon, Katie was the talk of the forest. All the animals wanted to play too. That’s how Hoppyscotch got her name.
